Sea Monkey

Yes, I grew Sea Monkeys. In college. So what?

The polarized light picture isn't there for anything in particualr, it just looks really cool.

Why are they called "sea monkeys." They don't look at all ape-like.

I think it's because monkeys are fun and exciting and exotic. Whereas shrimp are smelly and ugly and unusual. "Sea Monkeys" sounds better than "Brine Shrimp." Or worse, their scientific name "Artemia Salina." Nothing says boring like Latin.

i think the latin name is prettier, but sea monkey is easier for people to pronounce.
