A CD will, upon exposure to microwave radiation, eat itself in a sparky orgy of destruction. Try it sometime. Just don't overdo it, or the smell will linger forever. Better yet, get a seperate microwave. One for food, one for sparky orgies of destruction.

It would be interesting to see the different effects of the phtaline doped vs the other types. And the silver vs the gold (aka matsui) vs aluminum.

That would be pretty cool. I don't know if I'd want to sacrifice one of the Matsui CDs to the microwave, even if it were for science...
